It is going to be another hot summer day on Gosling Farm. Stan the farmer, Patch his dog and Little Red Tractor are up very early to work in the cool of the morning. Stumpy from the windmill phones to tell Stan some exciting news. Mr Jones, on neighbouring Beech Farm, who loves his gadgets, has bought a new one. He is so pleased he asks all his neighbours to have a ride in it. Everyone receives an invitation except for Stan but not wishing to spoil the surprise, no one will tell him what the gadget is. Had he known, would he have agreed to help Mrs Turvey by taking her place?
