Roxie Castro is just 13 years old, and she already has it all. She's beautiful, smart, rich and cool. With her trendy clothes, designer shades, skateboard and scowl, she looks so typical it's scary, more like a teenybopper who goes on a shopping spree at the mall, not a killing spree across three states. But it wasn't too surprising when she did that very thing. She is, after all, a born killer, the product of psychopaths, sociopaths, madmen and maniacs. With a bloodthirsty tyrant for a father - Fidel Castro - and a cold-blooded assassin for a grandmother - Pilar Rivera - Roxie has murder in her blood. She's genetically inclined to kill. And it all comes out in the summer of '88 when she goes on a rampage from New York to Florida. Roxie runs away from home looking for her drug addicted mother, but she finds nothing but trouble as she goes from New York to New Jersey, then to Palm Beach, Ft. Lauderdale, Cayo Fragoso island near Cuba, and finally to Miami. Roxie's Cuban grandmother is an ex-assassin who now runs an international art forgery ring. Roxie is a spoiled little rich girl who has never faced adversity before. Luckily, her grandmother has been teaching her how to use guns, knives and other weapons to survive, and it's a good thing. On her quest, she has to fend off junkies, Mafiosos, hoodlums, thugs, redneck rapists, a serial killer, gun runners, Cuban security forces, and Fidel Castro himself. It's non-stop action, with surprise twists around every bend (including Jack Ruby and Jimmy Hoffa whose death reports must have been greatly exaggerated). Roxie takes on the worst of the worst and comes out on top. Along the way, she discovers something about herself. She's a bigger badass than they are.
