Awesome Children's Book!!!

"Little Mike & Maddie's Black Hills Adventure" is a great story for all kids, young & old alike. Our two year old twins really love looking at all the pictures on every page as we read the story to them. Our six year old daughter also enjoys studying the illustrations, including the illustrated sights from the Black Hills area. This is the 2nd book in the series, and it really brings out the adventure of being in the Black Hills. We've never been to Sturgis, or even to South Dakota. But, through the words & pictures contained in this book, we feel as if we know a little bit about the experience, tho not from the "adult" point of view that one could definitely achieve. This book really shows the kids point of view and even offers some great teaching opportunities for us to enlighten our children to some of the sights that are illustrated in the book. Our six year old daughter especially likes discussing the events of the story as we read through the book. The book is written in words that she can either read or figure out by herself, so it's even a great learning tool on that level, too. The book is so well written that even we, their parents, enjoy reading the book, time & time again. The book is just long enough that it makes a great bedtime story, just captivating enough that we enjoy reading it to them as many nights as they want us to read it, and just short enough that it doesn't make them late to bed. The book is intelligently written and amazingly illustrated. It is every bit as interesting and captivating for adults as it is for children of all ages. We were thrilled to find this book, and the others by Miriam Aronson & Jeff Aronson. It shows that they not only have a great understanding of motorcycle adventures as well as puppy dog pets, but also of the things that captivate children's interest. This is the best children's book about motorcycling that we've seen! We bought copies for each of our three children so that they'd each have a copy of their own to read to their own children when the time comes.
