Little Jesus in the Tabernacle is a work of fiction loosely based on a period of time in the author's young life when she was being sexually abused by an older brother. This book was birthed from an encounter she had with Holy Spirit. He brought a vivid memory to the surface of her when she attended Catholic Mass. She would imagine a Little Jesus sitting in the tabernacle on the altar. He showed her through this memory how she experienced a sense of safety and peace through the Communion and Mass. The fictional part of the story follows the character of eight-year-old Maria Christina through her confusion about the abuse and finding solace in talking to the Little Jesus in the tabernacle. It is a beautiful story of redemption and healing. (The paperback version has black and white illustrations.)
