This was the third Nick Cutter book I read (The Troop and The Deep proceeding it) and I thought it was alright. I liked some of the characters but most of the story is pretty forgettable. It's a fun ride while you're on it but the end leaves you wanting more.
Missed it’s mark

My first Cutter book and was underwhelmed. The first half of the book is kind of slow, and is a lot of conversations between the 3 main characters. The second half of the book really amps up the action and creep factor which made the atmosphere exciting. Overall i was hoping for more and a little more explanation on the entities that lurk as the overarching villains. I would recommend reading this book on a vacation or during a period where the someone doesn’t want to think too much.
