Keeps The Little One Busy

My 1.5 year old daughter has the "feet" version of this book and loves it, so I bought this book for her for Christmas. She loves it just as much! The items to touch are very unique compared to other touch and feel books. I highly recommend these books!

Little Hands LOVE This Book!

Our nine month old daughter LOVES this book. It is the only book she does not try to eat because she is too busy exploring the pages :) Each page has a full-page color photo showing baby hands enjoying the feel of a particular item: a colorful ball, bumpy cardboard, tulle, cotton, and a teddy bear. The opposing page has a large sample of the material for baby to touch. We have other "touch-and-feel" books, but I have found most of them to be disappointing. Some do not offer enough sensory material, while others do a poor job of duplicating the material. This book will not disappoint!

Our DD's favorite book

Our 2 month-old daughter is becoming more and more interested in the world around her. In the past couple of weeks we have started reading her block books and this is her absolute favorite. She coo's and babbles at the book and loves to reach out and rub her hand (in-elegantly) over the pages. Each page has a different texture and she is entranced by the bright colors as well. She particularly likes the ridged cardboard because it makes a fun scratching sound, and the soft furry bear at the end of the book. We received this as a baby shower gift from my 3 year-old nephew (it is his favorite book). For older children it will help to build vocabulary, learning both colors and some adjectives. It's never too early to start reading to your baby and this is a fantastic first book that is interactive and fun for both parent and baby.

Wonderful Book

Our friends had this touch and feel quiet book at church for their little 9 month old. My 2 year old was fascinated so I ordered one online that Sunday afternoon. He loves the book and even his brothers that are 4 and 6 want to see and touch all the little pages. I would highly recommend the book especially for children under 2. It is colorful and captivating.

This is a great touch-feel book for babies!

This is a great, sturdy book for babies and toddlers to hold and explore. On the left hand page there is a picture of an object (or objects) being touched by baby hands and the right hand page says, "Little hands love..." and it is followed by a description of the texture inlay on that page. There is a picture of plastic balls followed by a texture of one, with "...bright, colorful balls" one the right page. Following this is cardboard, tulle from a tutu, very soft cotton, red "petals" from a rose, and fur from a teddy bear. The book is a perfect size for little ones to hold and it is very durable and sturdy. The best thing about this book is that the textures available are a good portion of the page (at least half I would say) so that it is actually bigger than the baby's hand, so they could really feel it. Most of the other touch books usually only have a small sample to feel, not so with this book. The only thing I didn't particularly care for were the rose petals. The descriptions says "..velvety, red petals" which would be accurate for real petals, but not the fabric that they use in the book. It is still an interesting texture for the little ones to feel, so they won't be bothered by it; that is my only complaint, and it really isn't that big of a deal, so I highly recommend it to all those who have babies or toddlers who like touch/feel books. This is really the best one I have come across.
