This is a blog book about height discrimination and general misconceptions regarding short stature. After living on this planet for nearly 40 years, as a vertically challenged person- whom has endured heckling, employment discrimination and an overall, lack of respect for my size-at 35, I decided I needed to write a book, chronicling both, my own experiences with height discrimination, as well as the height discrimination others like myself, have also endured. I wanted to enlighten anyone whom may have previously, thought that marginalizing and/or poking fun of others for their size, was a "harmless" and "acceptable" practice. I wished to convey to the world, just how ostracizing and disenfranchising the practice of heightism and/or any other form of discrimination is to those of us whom are the subjects of such discrimination. Lastly, the ultimate message I yearned to communicate to my readers, was the absurdity of attempting to determine one's value and his/her overall worth as a human being, not by the size of their heart, nor by the depth of their intellect, but by a number on a tape measure.
