One day the title, "Little David, Play Your Harp," came to mind. Those words struck me, and I had to write them down on a little piece of paper, along with some of the life lessons I drew from the biblical character David. I would hope that one day I could elaborate more on that thought. For many years, the words I scribbled down that day sat tucked away in our file cabinet, and each time I opened that file I always felt the tug that I needed to make something out of that little piece of scribbled paper. My mind's eye can see my mother sitting in a chair playing her harp and singing with all her might songs she would compose to the Lord. One little caveat here is that she didn't know how to play the harp, but it still sounded so beautiful because she was singing to her Lord. I'm thankful that I have been given the time, presence, and words to express everything God placed on my heart that day. As you read this book, may you be drawn closer to God and all that He has for you.
