THE STORY:
Byron is a little boy who plays dress-up and goes on imaginative adventures with his three pets - one dog and two cats Follow Byron on a voyage through his imagination, which starts in the real world (his bedroom) and takes him over the sea to a deserted island where he finds a very real treasure and returns with it to the real world again. The immensely talented Illustrator, Mikaila Maidment, has created the whimsical and heartwarming, original drawings for Little Byron - Xiǎo B i R n - 小白任 which are certain to spark the imaginations of young readers.

BOOK DETAILS:
This is a full colour, original story, displayed bilingually in English, Mandarin (Simplified Chinese Characters), and in Pinyin (an official system of transcribing Chinese characters so that Mandarin learners can pronounce them: Pinyin = "to spell sound"). The target language in Little Byron - Xiǎo B i R n - 小白任 is the numbers 1 to 10, which make it a great book for beginning ESL/EAL students whose native language is Mandarin as well as beginning Mandarin students whose native language is English.

BONUS MATERIAL:
This book employs Text Scaffolding, developed exclusively by LCEP, which layers the Chinese Characters on top, Pinyin in the middle, and English on the bottom, aligned in a specific way that allows for quick and easy translations in either "direction" (Mandarin to English, or English to Mandarin).
