Born in Hong Kong, Chan Wai is a screenwriter and novelist known for various films. As an early supporter of the 2014 Umbrella Revolution, he moved to Taiwan in 2018 and now teaches at National Taipei University of the Arts. Published in Taiwan in 2022, this novel won the 2023 Taiwan Literature Golden Award. The novel follows siblings through Hong Kong's turbulent times from 1997 to 2019, capturing the city's values, lost memories, and the lives of its youth. Korean edition translated by Hyeon Seon Mun.
