His grandparents draw on their own life experiences to help him discover "how" he learns, and encourages him with stories of their life experiences, and learning games - from how to catch a fish, to how to ask for help when it is needed. Walk with Little Bravebird through his childhood, and growing up years, until adulthood, when, although his grandparents are gone, the "gifts" they gave him have seen him become both a teacher, a writer, a husband, and, like his grandfather, a warrior.
