Adorable

My 3 yr old daughter just started ballet lessons and loves look at this book. I bought this book because it had great reviews and now I can give it 5 stars as well!

Delightful as First Time Ballet Music

Great book for my preschooler - with simple step-by-step vibrantly-colored partially-foiled illustrations demonstrating 5 ballet dances, accompanied with a music CD of classical ballet music excerpts that corresponded to the dances. The CD also contains many more ballet music excerpts. The simple ballet steps were short enough to demonstrate (but one was unclear to me - no matter since my daughter mostly preferred free dance). The book is a perfect introduction to classical ballet music, enhancing any supplementary viewing of actual ballet / music recordings or supporting any interest in beginning ballet classes. The boardbook pages are durable, however it works better for 3-4year olds who want to pore over details. Pricetag seems high at first but worth the value as we use this or play the music CD everyday (its been 4 months now)!

I was so pleased to get a book with little girls of all colors enjoying ballet. My multicultural family enjoys the illustrations greatly.
