Lions of Istan: An Epic Fantasy Series

By Fuad Baloch

In a land of ancient magic and sultans...
... a guard and a princess must fight the darkness

Even if neither of them is what the world needs.

Shoki, a lowly guard, has never really found his place in Istan. And investigating bizarre supernatural events in a remote town with an irritating magic inquisitor certainly doesn't inspire his excitement. But when the Sultan dies and a brutal battle for the throne ensues, Shoki's meandering days turn into a fight for his life.

Princess Nuraya deeply mourns her beloved father. But when she sees her twisted half-brothers vying for the Sultanate, she puts her emotions on hold to keep her homeland intact. Intrigued by a lowly city guard on her rise to power, a dark secret could throw everything she's ever believed into question.

An enigmatic djinn offers Shoki and Princess Nuraya his help. No person with any sense would accept such a proposal, for the djinn and the magi are known for their lies. Will Shoki and Princess Nuraya find the courage to do the right thing?

If you like epic fantasy set in exotic worlds, a mythology inspired by ancient Persia/Arabia, and complex characters, you'll love Fuad Baloch's beautifully intricate tale.
