IntIntroduction This is a fictional story based on a double murder in the far east.Terry was a successful businessman based in Lion City, minding his own business for the past twenty-five years. He was a family man with a young family based in Meltown Down Underland. Suddenly his world was turned upside down when he was charged with the double murder of his chauffeur and the chauffeur's girlfriend. After five months on the run, he was arrested in Meltown. He was placed in a Down Underland maximum-security jail to fight an extradition battle which was to last for three and a half years. An extradition request was placed by the Lion City authorities to the Down Underland government to extradite Terry but because of the death penalty, a person charged in Lion City with murder was the mandatory punishment by death by hanging, unless the Lion City government gave a cast iron guarantee not to execute Johnson should he be found guilty of one or both charges. The problem was that because this would be in effect giving him a pardon in advance of the trial, and would therefore be unconstitutional by Lion City Law.
