Linguist: Special Edition

By L J Black

Deep in the dark of night, Anji Fullerhouse hears the screams.

Her ears ring with the bloody, murderous cries of men. Her bed sheets twist in her fists, pain-filled voices carrying on the wind.

This is no dream. . . .

On the eastern boarder of the Republic, in the shadow of Angora, an terror attack results in the deaths of Republic citizens. Almost within the same breath, a second attack destroys a city in the south. These attacks are just the beginning of what's to come.

Anji and Aurora lead parallel lives: both possess the rare Linguist talent. Anji loses her father in the first attack. Aurora is directly targeted by the second. Neither has any idea why these attacks are happening. They just know that the attacker is not who-or what-they seem. And they are not alone in thinking this.

All across the Republic, men and women rise to the challenge of the danger to come. Every clue provides insight and every insight leads them one step closer to answers. And without those answers the Republic could go to war. A war that could end their country for good.
