Joyce DeRosa posed for neighbor Norman Rockwell and appeared with her mother on a Saturday Evening Post cover when she was seven. After the early death of her father, she moved to California, was abandoned by her mother, and lived in poverty for most of her formative years, assisted by friends of the family. Surviving three abusive marriages, she was often in the limelight with celebrities as Ronald Regan, Elizabeth Taylor, and the Hiltons. She lived many years in Italy, and toured the world with Joan Bov?, inventor of Clairol. In later years, she sought spiritual transformation through both western and eastern philosophies.
