The catalogue of a great retrospective exhibition staged in Florence, at Villa Bardini, from 3 rd April to 6th September 2015, covers the entire artistic life of Gregorio Sciltian, which develops over a period of more than sixty years. The book reproduces oil paintings, drawings and graphic works from major national museums such as Uffizi Gallery in Florence, National Gallery of Modern Art in Rome, Gallery of Modern and Contemporary Art in Bergamo and Pinacoteca Vaticana, as well as paintings from the artist's personal collection now housed at Vittoriale of Gardone Riviera (Brescia) and other private funds. The volume also includes a selection of works by other authors selected on the basis of stylistic and inspirational affinity or contrast: in addition to Pietro Annigoni and other members of the group of Modern Realist Painters, there are paintings by artists such as Giorgio de Chirico, Carlo Socrates, Renato Guttuso, Aligi Sassu.
