Like Roses and Porcupines: Like Roses and Porcupines

By Pamela A Angell

In this heart-warming story, a happy little Christmas cactus finds herself growing ever more miserable as her friends turn on her for accidentally poking them. She is continually misunderstood and eventually moved to a dark, dusty shelf away from everyone. As the story unfolds, Little Cactus learns wonderful truths about herself, as well as who truly loves and cares about her. The unique illustrations, created using scrapbooking papers, are warm and expressive throughout. The story shares a similar sweetness as found in the classic "The Velveteen Rabbit."
