Like An Unemployed Journalist, Trapped in My Own Mind: Bali Haikus

These haikus were written Oct. - Nov. 2019 during a 29-day trip to Bali. It was my second trip to the island that year. This time, I went with my girlfriend. Together we spent two weeks in Legian near the border with Seminyak in Kuta. Then we were in Ubud for two weeks, where we also briefly visited the eastern shoreline. After three nights back down in Legian, we left Bali for Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Bali was hot, peaceful, crowded and vibrant. Beer wasn't cheap. The food was spicy. And the people were friendly and kind.
