Andrew Moo's belief is that every experience in life is an educational one. In Light's Ascent, he has recorded what he has learned and experienced in Sixty "Stories" as well as poems which range from his life in Hong Kong, ages 12 to 14, to present-day Miami. He has learned that we are all human beings despite our differences of race, nationality, or language. He is proud of his Chinese, African, and Scottish ancestry, but truly cherishes his Jamaican roots - a sense of egalitarianism and quiet confidence. Andrew Moo has chosen the medium of poetry to tell the truth of what he has seen, felt, or conceptualized. He wishes to thank all who inspired him.
