Wyatt works at a tiny convenience store in a big city filled with garbage. The world has ended, but nobody noticed. People still just have to live, and in order to do that they still have to go to their jobs, take the bus, pay rent, and occasionally waste time in a coffee shop, despite environmental collapse, crumbling streets, rampant homelessness, and water shortages. People just have to do their best, or not do at all. Wyatt is a writer, or at least: he writes. Like many of his friends he's striving for some kind of creative success even in a world where success doesn't seem to exist. Survival isn't always thrilling, but it can be complicated.
