I disagree with the negative reviews on this book!

This book is so easy to give as a gift and is perfect for almost anyone. It will appeal to those who know poetry, it will appeal to those who are unfamiliar with poetry.

My error

My prior review referred to the sequel, 101 Funny Little Poems. This volume, the first, in fact does have some of the classics by Dorothy Parker, et al.I do wonder whether some other anthology might have all the good poems from this collection and five times as many others, but even so, I much liked both volumes.

This was not deep, profound, or artistic!

"This little book was not deep, profound, or artistic," is a complaint I've heard a lot from some of my friends. Well, it isn't. It's not supposed to be! This book is fun. That's all. It's fun. Read it. Ogden Nash is immortal. Some of the stuff is lame, yes, but you'll smile.

This book cracked me up!

I got this book as a gift for my 40th birthday. What a riot! Once I read the first poem I was hooked. I couldn't put it down. And by the end of the book my side felt like it was going to split. This book is a perfect gift because it's inexpensive and fun.

The perfect book for anyone who needs a little pick-me-up!

Bruce Lansky has done it again! He's found the funniest light verse, and put it into one pocket-sized book that anyone can afford. The poetry in this book isn't deep, profound, or artistic. But it is funny. And that's the point!
