A forbidden love blossoms amidst the chaos of war-torn France.
Evelyn St. John, an English SOE agent, is thrust into occupied France to aid the Resistance. Her mission collides with that of Paul von Hoch, a German Abwehr officer tasked with hunting down enemy spies. As their paths cross, a fierce and unexpected love ignites, defying the battle lines that divide them.
But in a world of shifting allegiances and deadly secrets, can their love survive? When patriotism clashes with deeper truths, Evelyn and Paul must confront the ultimate challenge: choosing between duty and their hearts. A gripping tale of espionage, sacrifice, and forbidden romance, this historical thriller explores the human cost of war and the enduring power of love in the darkest of times. Perfect for readers of historical fiction and wartime romance.
One of her best works so far. I can't put it down and now Dad wants to read her. too! Success at last!

This delightful look at forbidden love is heart wrenching and draws you into each character's life. It is a sensitive look at hardship and a sensual look at the development and denial of feelings. Her use of French adds to the atmosphere of the entire novel, and fills in for the lack of more discriptive English words. She brings across the message so clearly that one can not help but want to experiance the forbidden love seen here. Grippingly written and emotionally charged, it leaves me wanting to be the Evelyn in the novel.
