LIGHT DIMS IN MY DARKNESS is volume 4 of and a sequel to my semi-biographical book, A DARKENESS OF THE LIGHT. The initial first volume published a lifetime collection of art, prose, poems from my youth to recent present day. My introduction for the first DARKNESS book included lines still relevant that were taken from notes of an old manuscript I started as a hybrid speculative fiction/autobiographic narrative "HOPETOPIA BOUND." Every day is a struggle to find and reclaim hope. The conflict at heart remains between accepting the light of love or succumbing to the darkness of despair. I dedicate my latest book LIGHT DIMS IN MY DARKNESS, once again to the many who struggle with depression as I have over a lifetime and continue with my remaining years. I use my writing, to try find and accept light into my darkness. I hope whoever reads my books can find both hope and inspiration to find their own light and maybe become inspired by the prose to become an agent of positive change. I will continue to write in hope that my words can help just a little bit to create a green, and beautiful world for children today and tomorrow. Special thanks to my autistic, amazing comedic artist friend Michael Anthony (Tony) Santiago for always putting a smile on my face with his prolific, fun filled creations of people eating tacos. Love and thanks always to my family who try every day to connect with me and are always present to help in any way they can. LIGHTS DIMS IN MY DARKNESS - Part One begins with prose of sadness. Part Two shares my joy cheering for my New Mexico soccer team. Part three continues with prose written and memes of my neighborhood, family, friends, and cats. My writing is now focused on completing my first solar powered Y.A. dystopian adventure novel CALINE. I filled the novel with lots of Apteras, Aptera solar paneled Telo Trucks, and of course, cats. Enjoy.
