Born in 1920 to a Tennessee farming family, Lorraine Jobe was always a storyteller. Growing up during the years of the Great Depression formed the foundation of her character and values. During her children's early years, she was a wonderfully creative wife and homemaker. Later, she was a retouch artist for two commercial photography studios. In her later years she became a writer. This book contains her essays and her newspaper columns, "The Western Philosopher," from the EASTLAND TELEGRAM in West Texas.
