Born into a family of five kids in North Florida, I witnessed the passion and ambition of my father as he ran for office against the odds. Despite facing unsavory tactics and intimidation, he fought the good fight with resilience, but his involvement in politics became an issue down the road as it potentially contributed to my brother's false arrest and incarceration, which ultimately broke up the family. Throughout my childhood and in high school, I was immersed in the world of politics, attending campaign rallies and hearing influential figures like US Senator Paula Hawkins deliver speeches. Witnessing the power and influence of political dynasties like the Bush family, I understood that a change of power was not a matter of chance but a carefully orchestrated plan. But politics wasn't the only significant aspect of my upbringing. Raised in a deeply religious family, I spent many hours attending church services and private Christian schools. The strictness and judgment of this environment drove me away, pushing me to seek a more compassionate and open-minded spiritual path. Reflecting on my family background, I realize that even amidst adversity and challenging circumstances, there is value in every experience. My father's defeat may have been a blessing in disguise, saving us from a political world where power and influence were wielded without regard for fairness or justice. Ultimately, my upbringing has shaped my outlook on life, teaching me the importance of resilience, questioning, and seeking the truth for myself. It is through these experiences that I navigate the world with an open mind and a desire to make a positive impact.
