Customer Reviews

Too many birds eating and being eaten.

This is just as good as any documentary on single subjects and can give Blue Planet a run for its money. From the beginning, it is fascinating with both extraordinary graphics and amazing insight into the life of birds. Even though it comes on multiple disks, you will be left wanting more. Naturally, one of the most important elements in this production is David Attenborough with his intriguing presentation style and pacing. The only downside is that this documentary suffers from “yum yum eat'm up syndrome.” The depiction of something being eaten is proportionally overemphasized; this distracts from the rest of the film.
