Life as an Educator, Musician, and Author Patricia enjoyed singing as a teacher for much of her life; she taught music for two years in high and elementary school but became an elementary school teacher in grades 1-5. Later, she taught reading and math in kindergarten through the third grade. With college vocal training, Patricia sang in choirs, at retreats, and as a soloist in several states in the United States. She traveled to England, France, Mexico, and Australia. Patricia performed in cities throughout the United States and presented a vocal concert in Australia. Patricia retired from the Fulton County Board of Education. She wrote poems and sang songs for retirement meetings. When Patricia retired, she completed many books. Today, she is the author of fifteen books, variously for children and adults. She has several chapter, middle-grade, and adult books. Patricia also has one picture book and a young adult book. This is Patricia's story.
