Chapter 19 . Death Of Jesus Christ Sura 355 (And remember) when Allah said: O Jesus Lo I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me ye will (all) return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein ye used to differ.Sura 4157 And because of their saying: We slew the Messiah, Jesus the son of Mary, Allah's messenger - they slew him not nor crucified him, but it appeared so unto them; and lo those who disagree concerning it are in doubt thereof; they have no knowledge thereof save pursuit of a conjecture; they slew him not for certain.158 But Allah took him up unto Himself. Allah was ever Mighty, Wise.159 There is not one of the People of the Scripture but will believe in him before his death, and on the Day of Resurrection he will be a witness against them -AnalysisWhy is it important that Jesus did not die at all ? Two aspects of His identity comes to mind . Firstly that Jesus is the only begotten Son of God, and secondly that He is the Firstborn . As such He was meant to die, to literally be sacrificed to fulfill God's purpose . All firstborns of Israel were redeemed except Christ . Our Lord begged to be redeemed but was denied . The Quran acknowledges the virgin birth of Christ but very strongly refuses His identity as the Son of God . Thus the Gospel of salvation has no value to a Muslim . It becomes mockery ...
