An evocative post-apocalyptic vision of loss, love and redemption ...Last man on earth-I'm beginning to fantasize that. The last human survivor Seems very unlikely, in a world inhabited by so many... This description may be from another edition of this product.
Abbot’s post-apocalyptic novel is a complex maze of past relationships and perspectives with a surprising twist. In this first-person narrative, it is easy to believe that one is reading the actual journal of the protagonist, an unremarkable man in a remarkable situation. Of course, character development is a prerequisite of all novels, but in “Librarian” the reader’s relationship with the book’s protagonist continues to develop throughout the narrative. I like the way the author skilfully leaves room for imagination through unanswered questions, prompting the reader to pause and think about what he or she has just read.
