The History of Chatelain of Coucy is a 13th century French romance written by Jakemon Sakesep, supposedly in reference to an ealier trobadour known as Guy De Couci. The theme of a jealous husband who eats the heart of his wife's lover is later advanced in future literary mediums such as Boccaccio's Decameron. Ian's retelling was left uncompleted, just after the Chatelain wins his lady's love.
