My great-grandfather was Franklin E. Tiffany. I was fortunate enough to inherit some of his business files, which also included personal letters and documents. I thought that I had given all of the files to the Inlet Historical Society, but recently found a packet of letters that I had set aside to read more closely. As I reread them, it struck me how much of the history of Inlet was wrapped up in this man, and how much he contributed to his family and his community. This book gives a snapshot of what his life was like back then, and is an attempt to bring history to life for future generations to enjoy. One person really can make a difference.
