Let's Talk.....: A Guided Communication Journal for Families

Families today often communicate via email, one-word responses or a "thumbs up" emoji via text. As a result, there are often things that go unsaid, feelings not shared or topics that are never discussed. The purpose of this shared journal is to give parents, children and families a format to ask and answer those everyday life questions, and to tackle some of life's more challenging topics and questions. These journals are meant to be passed back and forth between participants as questions are asked, answered and shared. They are designed to enhance communication, encourage expressions of feelings and to promote the ever-fading skill of writing. This journal contains prompts for discussions, blank spaces for sharing personal stories, thoughts and feelings. Our family would place our journals under each others pillows. I would write my answer then pass the journal to our child to answer, and my husband would do the same
