Pop-Up Potty Book is Positively Fun

?Pop-Up Potty Book is Positively Fun?Surprise! Sam?s got a present?hence starts another contribution to the highly-populated potty book market. Out of three activity potty books we have found (see also Sara?s Potty by Harriet Ziefert and What Do You Do With A Potty? by Marianne Borgardt) I thought this one a winner. The text combines common elements found in other books, such as using the potty as a toy. But it also includes some funny moments (watch out for Charlie the dog!). Engaging ink-and-watercolor illustrations by Peter Utton are as lively as the text. One word of caution: two of the flaps lift to reveal a puddle of pee on the floor. One shows actual poop in Sam?s potty. Didn?t bother us, but may be more graphic for other reader?s taste. The conclusion features a diverse group of children cheering from their potties (a first). This book is more entertaining than educational, however (see The Potty Book for Girls by Alyssa Satin Capucilli, You Can Go to the Potty by Dr. Sears or What To Expect When You Use the Potty by Heidi Murkoff for more instructional picture books).

This Book Helped

I bought this book for my little toddler who was having a bit of trouble going potty. You see, he thinks the toilet is going to eat him if he sits on it too long, so he never wants to go number 2! If he goes number 1 he is perfectly fine. But I think with the help of this book we have had much less "accidents" and my little boy likes to go potty so he can read his new favorite book! In fact he has almost memorized it by now! We still have some trouble every so often, but much less than before. Thanks Let's Go Potty! You've helped my family so very much!
