Relationships are at the center of every student's life, and they are rarely simple. Whether it's a friendship that feels one-sided, a family tension that keeps coming up, a misunderstanding that spiraled online, or a group situation where no one agrees, navigating the complexity of relationships is something every student faces. When students don't have the space or language to reflect on what is happening and what they can do about it, small tensions can grow into bigger problems.

The Let's Get Curious: When Relationships Get Complicated Card Deck is a scenario-based card deck that helps students build awareness and understanding around relationship conflict, recognizing what is really driving a difficult situation, exploring what they can do when things get hard, and discovering what it looks like to move forward with honesty, empathy, and self-awareness.

Each card presents a short, student-centered scenario followed by a discussion question. On the back of the card, three additional questions deepen thinking around self-awareness, communication, perspective-taking, and the choices students make both in person and online. Cards rotate between three icons, What's Really Going On, What You Can Do, and Moving Past It, to support balanced conversation and sustained engagement.

This deck can be used flexibly in classrooms, counseling settings, or small groups to support students in developing the honest self-reflection and communication skills they need to navigate one of the most universal challenges of growing up.
