LETITIA: An Aunt Margarete Novella

Letitia Crawshock is having her first London Season, but she wonders at her older brother Wallace who has been in London for eight Seasons, and he still hasn't yet found a bride. Wallace has found the most obnoxious woman in London--a witch by all standards--by the name of Lady Zylphia. Letitia decides it is her job to warn Wallace against her. As Letitia spends her time trying to save her brother, she happens to meet the handsome Herman Fendora. Now she has two challenges, and she would much rather worry about Herman than her brother. But will Wallace be captured by the witch? Read how Letitia, though only seventeen, is smarter than her brother when navigating the marriage mart of Regency London. Letitia is one of a series of novellas, about the nieces and nephews of Margarete Fendora, who visit her in London in order to find love. A delightful, very clean, and humorous series!EXCERPT FROM LETITIA: Lady Zylphia hissed, "I'm warning you--you leave him alone!"Lady Pulford chuckled, "Oh? Why do you have to warn me away from him? Doesn't he like you? Because I assure you, he can make up his own mind."Lady Zylphia said haughtily, "Of course he likes me--he adores me! I just don't want you to get your claws into him."Lady Pulford replied, "Ah, I see you are afraid you don't have him where you want him."Letitia moved so she could see the ladies through the crack in the door.Lady Zylphia growled, "He's mine, you little crazed lunatic! I will have him, no matter what anyone says!"Lady Pulford replied calmly, "You're welcome to him, if he'll have you. Any man who would choose an emotional tidal wave, such as yourself, is welcome to you."Letitia saw Lady Zylphia growl and lunge at Lady Pulford who gasped and tried to block her attacker, but to no avail, she was punched in the nose and shrieked, "Ow!"Lady Pulford's nose began to bleed and Letitia moved around the door quickly, demanding, "What is going on here?"Lady Zylphia changed character immediately and said, "Poor Lady Pulford has problems but I was just leaving. Maybe you can help her?" She ran out of the room.Lady Pulford had found her hankie and pressed it to her nose, falling back into a chair she closed her eyes and put her head back. Letitia stepped to her side and found another hankie, saying, "Here, Lady Pulford, this might help."Lady Pulford grumbled and shook her head.Letitia stayed by her side until her nose recovered. After the bleeding stopped, Lady Pulford sat up slowly and asked, "Is my nose broken?"Letitia smiled, "I don't think so. Not broken, maybe a little swollen."Lady Pulford looked at her gown, "I'm so lucky I didn't get any blood on my dress!" She turned to Letitia and exclaimed, "That woman is a witch!"Letitia nodded heartily, "I know!"
