Book Overview

A sensational case. Dark motives. Deadly secrets.

When Judge Samuel Chesterfield is found murdered in his chambers during a high-stakes wrongful death trial against a prominent abortionist, suspicion immediately falls on the only four people who had access: the trial lawyers.

At the center of the storm is Edward Mead-a brilliant, 77-year-old legal scholar still reeling from the death of his wife. Appointed special prosecutor, Mead must navigate a labyrinth of corruption, deceit, and danger that threatens both his mind and his life.

FBI Special Agent Sarah Riehl is desperate to prove herself in a system that's kept her sidelined. But her relentless pursuit of justice leads her into a deadly game where the hunter becomes the hunted-and the truth could get her killed.

Lethal Objection is a gripping legal thriller packed with courtroom intrigue, moral complexity, and page-turning suspense.

From the bestselling author of Lethal Ambition
For fans of John Grisham, Robert Whitlow, and Agatha Christie

The trial isn't the only thing at stake. Survival is.

★★★★★ It was so engaging that I read it in a day."

"Another intelligent multifaceted plot and complex characters. The book was so engaging that I read it in a day. I usually know who is guilty in advance but not with this book."

★★★★★ Couldn't put it down... terrific twists "

"Excellent I could not put this book down The twists and turns kept me wondering 'who done it' The lack of promiscuity and colourful (useless) language was another bonus. This strong storyline didn't need anything but Michael Swiger's great writing "

Couldn't put it down!

WOW this was a great read! I was hooked after the first few pages. The characters are colorful and each one of them could of done it. I love reading about things that take place back in Ohio! Micheal's descriptions of the places and areas around Cleveland are great!

suspensful

Great book! Book will capture you in the first few pages and will hold you until the end.

Mr. Swiger does it again

In his fourth novel, rookie novelist Michael Swiger has once again produced a captivating piece. Edward Mead, fresh off the loss of his loving wife, is faced with solving the heinous murder of Judge Chesterfield; a widely unpopular megalomaniacal jurist whose death is at the hand of a lawyer trying a messy civil trial in his courtroom. Michael has woven a tightly twisted who-done-it. The cast of characters are identifiable and brought to life in a way that keeps the reader interested from page one. Mr. Swiger has a gift for character dialogue that draws you in and keeps you until the last page. As always, I look forward to the next novel with great excitement.
