Danielle, entrenched in overwhelming grief, is haunted by unspeakable nightmares about the man that killed her toddler. When the intense depression brought on by her mourning grows into an obsession, she decides to ask her brother Tom, a cop, for help. Tom puts his career on the line to tip her off anytime he gets a hint about the killers' whereabouts, and so she leaves what's left of her life behind, embarking on a road trip for retribution.

Victoria is an older woman, who, much like Danielle is searching for retribution, too. Victoria's doctor has told her she doesn't have much longer to live, and that she shouldn't be driving on her own anymore. She holds Danielle up at gunpoint when the two cross paths at a motel. Danielle wants peace, and Victoria wants to reunite with the son she gave up for adoption so many years ago. The two decide to work together since they've got nothing else to lose; kill the killer, and then go to Tampa to meet Victoria's son. But will it be that easy?
