Liberals, Chill Out!

I consider myself a Hannity fan. I listen to his show when I can, watch him on Fox, and have read this book. Even though I am a fan, I sometimes find him slightly shrill and offputting, but basically agree with everything he says. Perhaps the most important thing he stresses in this book is the problem of illegal immigration. Hannity only wants them to immigrate LEGALLY. What's wrong with that? Also, I have always believed, even when I was a registered Democrat, that the Clintons (especially Hillary) were grandstanding attention mongers (being from Arkansas, I spent a lifetime listening to the drivel spewed from their mouths over the years). What I've heard in so many of the "1-Star" interviews has nothing to do with the merits of the book itself. It has to do with the vicous ramblings of desperate liberals who, in the immortal words of Nicholson, "can't handle the truth." Yes, the truth may be presented in a manner which many may find shrill or even offensive, but GET OVER IT!! If you hate Sean Hannity so much, why are you reading the book!? Actually, I don't think that 90% of the negative reviewers here actually DID read the book. It's fine to disagree but some of the shrill, vicous reviewers here are only serving to further alienate liberals from the rest of the population (please refer to the recent CA recall for a prime example).Cheers!

Let Character Leadership Education Ring

Hi! I just wanted to say, though a little biased himself, Sean Hannity seems to be honest, and seems to be trying to tell it like it is. He's much like Michael Moore, but on the opposite side of the same coin, and not as funny, or outrageous. This is a book that everyone who has read Michael Moore's, "Stupid White Men", should read. And, maybe it's just my small "i" independent thinking, but I really do think both sides ought to get their values back into perspective -- re-institute the standard -- by reading Norman Thomas Remick's metaphore of what it means to be an American, "West Point: Character Leadership Education, A Book Developed From The Readings And Writings Of Thomas Jefferson". Thank you.

An insightful book that is to be read, studied, and pondered

If Sean Hannity is not the new King of All Media, he is certainly the Crown Prince of it. Hannity has the number one radio show nationally for the 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. time slot; he has the number one cable news-rated show for the 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. time slot, wherein he plays Buffalo Bob Smith to his co-host's Howdy Doody; and now, with LET FREEDOM RING, he has the opportunity to expound on the matters that give sum and substance to his radio and television programs.Hannity's first radio show was broadcast live from WABC in New York City on September 10, 2001. He had plenty to talk about that day. As he relates it, the first show dealt with topics such as cutting taxes, education reform, strengthening the military, and defending Judeo-Christian values. Little did he dream how horribly momentous the following day would be.The attack on America on September 11, 2001 was the ultimate impetus behind LET FREEDOM RING. While Hannity discusses taxes, education, the military, and values at length in LET FREEDOM RING, he also reviews the Congressional policies and errors of the late 1970s and early 1980s that resulted in the emasculation of United States intelligence forces, a process that reached its zenith as the result of the executive policies and omissions of the 1990s --- and which directly and proximately resulted in the effectiveness of the attack on the United States in 2001. Hannity also takes a well-aimed swing at illegal immigration. Hannity notes that his grandparents were legal immigrants who followed the rules and procedures necessary to come to this country and to become a part of it, and that thousands of people continue to do so. For their benefit, as well as for the benefit of those who have come before, the laws that permit entrance to this country must be enforced, and not sacrificed on the altar of political expedience. If there is one common thread that runs throughout LET FREEDOM RING, it is that the right of self-defense, whether for an individual or for a nation, is a paramount right; if one cannot defend their person or their home, or a nation its borders, then their life, home, and nation will be lost. Hannity's message is not lost in his writing style; rather, his way with words enhances his argument. LET FREEDOM RING reads less like a treatise and more like a transcript of a conversation. It does not contain any new revelations for those who have been paying attention to the errors of commission and omission that were so underreported during the 1990s.LET FREEDOM RING may be ignored by the very audience that needs it the most, but for the choir to which Hannity preaches, his ability to clearly and concisely make his arguments will shine like a beacon. Hannity has recently been urged to make a run for political office; while his inclination toward that particular arena is not known at this point, it is rapidly becoming self-evident that his intelligence, articulate style, and physical and emotional charisma will enable

Sean tells it like it is

I found Sean's book very interesting and very powerful. He lets out a very powerful message without brutally insulting the left side. I am glad to finally see a right-winged person writing for the rest of us "righties" to enjoy. He backs up everything with facts. It's not just Sean's opinions. Some of his facts startled me, but that's what kept me reading. This book has been very hard to put down. I admit I have not finished it yet, but I found the message so powerful, and I really like what he has to say. You can't help but cheer him on while you are reading. The left in America won't like this book, so if you left don't read it unless you know you can take it.

A great introduction to his show

I find it amusing that when ever someone who disagrees with a conservative, they try to defeat him/her by slaming thier character in attempts to destroy them. Over the years that I've watched and listened to his program, he always treats the people that he disagrees with kindness and compassion. This book is no different, essentially his show in written form. He always welcomes an open rational dicussion with other viewpoints. Read this along with Ann Coulter's book, "Slander"
