In 2004, 7 year-old Kylie saw her Dad deployed for a year with the U.S. Navy. During a call with her Grandpa, she told him she was down because she missed her Dad. She kept busy planting flowers in her yard so it would look pretty when he returned. She also told him that she always saw the same crow in the tree while she worked. Together, they named him Lester.
