Margaret Turner was born in 1918 in Texas, and moved to Oregon in 1948 with her husband, a Methodist minister. After raising four children, she started teaching elementary school in Silverton, Oregon from 1965 until retirement in 1979. This book is a moving account of her experiences as a teacher. As a senior citizen, she began to do water color painting, and a selection of her work is included in this book. Art has given Margaret great joy. At age 99 she continues to do genealogical research and recently wrote up the story of her life.
