I read Kevin Baum's tight narrative about life on the front lines as a firefighter in Austin, Texas, in two sittings. He's a masterful story teller, and each story offers a powerful lesson. While it's pitched as a book for managers, it actually offers inspiration to anyone who wants to improve themselves--whether in their careers or in life generally. It's a page turner well worth picking up--and is then tough to put down.

Yes, pun was intended ....this is a fire department education and you will enjoy learning what makes these great teams 'tic'. Very exciting story from page one but you come away with actionable examples of how to improve your own leadership style to how leadership influences our organizations success. I've shared this book with associates and it's a must read (and a very exciting one)for everyone operating in today's business world !!
