What are the implications of spatial-based initiatives for the livelihoods and the environment within a landscape? Sembilang Dangku landscape stretch over 1.6 million hectares from the National Park (TN) Sembilang to the Dangku Wildlife Refuge (SM). Administratively, this landscape is located at 19 sub-district in Banyuasin Regency and Musi Banyuasin Regency - South Sumatera province. It has many types of natural ecosystems - consisting of marine ecosystems, freshwater ecosystems, semi-terrestrial ecosystems, and terrestrial ecosystems This landscape is also a natural habitat for the priority species of South Sumatra - the Sumatran tiger (Panthera tigris sumatrae) and Sumatran elephant (Elephas maximus sumatranus), as well as being a living space for dozens of non-primate mammal species and hundreds of bird species, as well as a place a stopover for thousands of migratory birds.
