Frayssinet tudie leur francophilie, leur tol rance religieuse, leur attachement une monarchie constitutionnelle, leur f d ralisme et leur lib ralisme conomique. Il montre comment ces id es ont t influenc es par la pens e politique anglaise et am ricaine, ainsi que par les r flexions de Rousseau, Montesquieu et autres philosophes de l' poque. Cette dition comprend une introduction qui contextualise l' tude et explique ses enjeux pour la compr hension de l'histoire politique fran aise.
