Lar and Aline's escape won't matter if they can't get off the planet. After surviving a harried trek across a desolate desert, Lar has guided Aline, his sister, a doctor, and the women they saved to his childhood home. If Aline can manage to unlock it's secrets, she will reveal a truth neither the Mwalgi nor human government wants to admit, yet their greatest threat is a man with a vendetta who won't give up until he finds them and exacts revenge.
