Great book about silent movies and other movie stuff!

To tell you the truth, I've never seen a silent movie in my life. But when someone offered me this book, I took a chance at reading it, thinking it might be interested. Though it may be interesting, it is also very cool. It has some very cool facts, like the Hollywood sign was originally Hollywoodland, when someone put it up to sell real estates. Today, Brad Pitt or Josh Hartnett are, what some people call, "sexy." Back then, there was a freaky looking guy who was in the same case. Also, it shows some signs that would appear on the screen occasionally. It features people that were famous back then, like Charlie Chaplin and Lon Chaney. Not only is it informative about silent films, but on the bottom of every page, there is a timeline of historical movie events. So no matter if you silent movies and not movies with sound, you like movies with sound and not silent movies, or if you like both, this is a great book for you!
