The old 1847 Olivas Adobe is one of the most haunted places in all California with many reports of ghosts and strange happenings. It was a lively place in the late 19th Century with lavish parties that could last for days on end. The house was large and it had to be because Don Raymundo Olivas and his wife Teodora had twenty-one children! That was a lot even when large families were common. Lots of life went on here and its reflected in the folklore of this California Landmark. There are stories of ghosts here, lost treasures and bizarre events. It is a unique monument to the lifeways of Spanish California and her many tales of the supernatural. A must for anyone who likes to tell stories around a campfire.
