While Ricky, Megan, and Freddy are in southern Idaho with their cousins for a rodeo and Fourth of July celebration, their Uncle Theo invites them to come with him on an expedition for a legendary gold deposit. The Brandts are excited for the chance to go on another adventure, especially since they'll be riding horseback in the desert. The adventure isn't quite so straightforward when they meet a group of scientists doing research in the desert.
