About the Author
I am the former Rachel Batican who was born in Manila, but grew up in Bulacan. I went to college in Pangasinan and graduated in AB Theology from Northern Luzon Adventist College. I worked as a Missionary under the Northern Luzon Mission for two years, before I went to Mindanao to study Education again at Mountain View College. In 2009 I went to America as a Missionary and here I met my future Spouse, Allan Astrero. We now live in California with our only son, David.

Introduction
There come times when I reflect on myself, I remember every time I look in the mirror the times have passed. One thing I am sure of is that I will also grow old and one day be lost in this world. I believe I have a purpose for why I was born, and I know that purpose is to serve God, be a blessing to the people around me and be a productive citizen of whatever country I am in.
Here is a heritage book, which contains stories from real life that will hopefully be a collection of lessons for readers. May it be a guide as we tread the complex path of life. As we read the selected works, may one remember the One who gave the only Inheritance.
