The Descendants

Legacy of Honor: The Descendants is my first introduction to Larry A Freeland's novels. After reading this one, It will definitely not be the last. Even though it is the third installment of his Legacy of Honor series, I believe it can easily be read as a stand alone. The author's hard work and research on writing this book really shines throughout the book. The details were so vivid, I felt like I had been transported back in time and seeing the events unfold in real time. Legacy of Honor: The Descendants is broken down into three parts, highlighting three McCormick brothers: Alan, Lee, and Scott. They are faced with their own struggles, sacrifices, and their own fight for survival. They were confronted with brutal truths of before and after war. I found the stories were page turning and hard to put down. I found Legacy of Honor: The Descendants to be a five star read and I highly recommend it for readers who love to read historical fiction, as well as, military fiction. I would love to catch up and read the previous two books from the series, Legacy of Honor: The Patriarch and Legacy of Honor: The Air Warrior to see talented author Larry A Freeland has in store for his fans. I received a paperback copy of Larry A Freeland's Legacy of Honor: The Descendants from the publisher, but was not required to write a positive review. This review is one hundred percent my own honest opinion.
